Canada and United States pilot
Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Menu Q Canada and United States pilot.
Effective: August 1, 2026
1. Agreement and pilot status
By using Menu Q, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. Menu Q is an early-stage pilot. Features, availability, limits, and results may change, and the service may be suspended or discontinued.
2. Who may use Menu Q
You must have the legal capacity to accept these terms, or use Menu Q with permission from a parent or guardian who accepts them for you. The pilot is intended for users in Canada and the United States.
3. Your uploads and acceptable use
You retain your rights in content you submit. You give Menu Q and its service providers permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You must have the right to submit it.
Do not upload illegal, harmful, private, or confidential material; probe or bypass security controls; automate abusive requests; interfere with the service; or use Menu Q in violation of law or another person’s rights.
4. Estimates and AI limitations
Menu reading, translations, prices, dietary attributes, allergens, portion guidance, bill totals, and meal-balance suggestions may be incomplete or wrong and are estimates unless the restaurant confirms them. Verify important details with the restaurant before ordering.
Menu Q does not provide medical, nutritional, allergy, or emergency advice. Do not rely on it to manage a health condition or prevent an allergic reaction.
5. Ownership
Menu Q and its software, design, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the pilot for personal dining purposes; they do not transfer ownership.
6. Third-party services
Menu Q relies on service providers including OpenAI, Cloudflare, and Upstash. Their systems may be unavailable or subject to separate terms and policies. Menu Q is not affiliated with or endorsed by restaurants whose menus appear in the service.
7. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the pilot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Menu Q is not responsible for restaurant decisions, orders, food preparation, allergens, or charges.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Menu Q will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the pilot. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any non-waivable rights you may have under the laws of your province, state, or country.
9. Contact and changes
Questions about these terms may be sent to menuq0303@gmail.com.
We may update these terms as the pilot changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
